SCANDAL (Japanese Band)

this time I want to tell y'all about one of my favorite band from JAPAN!
they are............
SCANDAL

SCANDAL is Japanese pop-rock girl band from Osaka, Japan.

Formed in August 2006 by four high school girls, they started playing street lives until they were noticed and singed to the indie label Kitty Records.
In 2008, they released three singles and a mini-album, while performing shows in the United States, France, and Hong Kong.
Because of this, they have an international fanbase.
Also in that October, SCANDAL released their major debut single, "DOLL", under EPIC Records Japan.
They also have a single for an anime soundtrack K-ON!!. the single is "Don't Say 'Lazy'"
The member of the band are:
Haruna Ono
(Vocal & Guitar)

Tomomi Ogawa
(Vocal & Bass)

Mami Sasazaki
(Vocal & Guitar)

Rina Suzuki
(Vocal & Drum)

I'll show you one of their music video, it's my favorite one!
it called "Namida No Regret" (涙のリグレット) or means Tears of Regret.
enjoy ;D

New iPhone 5

Verizon Wireless is currently testing a CDMA version of the iPhone 4 and 5 and Verizon confirms they are making network changes to bring the iphone to their network. The new iPhone 5 is going to be loaded with awesome new features like video chat on 3g and 4g (no longer restricted to WiFi only), face recognition and extreme downloading.
This iPhone 5 will have dual core processors and higher and powerful graphic chips that can deliver higher video resolutions and better "still" images when taking pictures, and it will make multi-tasking a breeze.
There are a few networks working on building a 4G network. T-mobile would be a likely carrier since they are GSM already. Sprint has a 4G network already, AT&T and Verizon Wireless are in the beginning stages. There are talks of Verizon Wireless getting iPhone sometime in 2010 but it looks like they will get it for sure in 2011 when the new iPhone 5 comes out.
Whether or not it will be 4G will be up to them! can they build in time? They will definitely have the 3G version of iPhone, but with the new iPhone 5 (4g speeds) coming out, will they compete?! Regardless, there is much anticipation on how many people will leave AT&T for Verizon Wireless because of AT&T's lagging on app restrictions like Slingplayer and Google Voice and Skype (on 4g network, not Wi-Fi).
AT&T's restrictions have caused the percentage of people that are JailBreaking their iPhones to rise since Jail Breaking usually comes with Cydia which is the app store for jail broken phones. Most of the applications, ringtones, and even iphone themes! Winterboard is part of the download, and it very easily add's the changes to your phone so you dont have to figure how to do it on your own, it is very automated.
The Palm Pre on Sprint and HTC EVO (Sprint now offering a 4G network) has made an attempt at being competitive with iPhone and Blackberry...and it seems they are making head way, although with the iPhone 4 released and the iPhone 5 on the way, they are sure to lose.
This is a few features of iPhone 5:
  • Thinner! With shiny glass back piece - 9.3 mm thick.
  • Face Recognition Security
  • Face Time (Video Chat) access on 3G AND 4G (available currently but only on 3G)
  • Custom SMS tones
  • Custom E-mail alerts with ability to assign different tones to each email address
  • A new, sleeker body design.
  • OLED screen.
  • Scratch proof and shatter proof screen
  • Wireless sync with iTunes
  • 32G (basic) and 64G of memory. You're sure to never run out.
  • Extended battery life = 14 hours talk time on 3G and 7 hours on 4G. Standby 600 hours.
  • Hi Definition audio.
  • Messaging indicator light.
  • True GPS built in.

5 Manfaat Ponsel Yang Belum Banyak Diketahui Orang

2. Kunci mobil anda ketinggalan di dalam mobil? Ini tips nya:

Anda memakai kunci mobil remote?

Why Facebook isn't making your eyeballs bleed?

On Wednesday, facebook made an unannounced tweak to its home page design, shrinking the font size that appears on users' "news feeds" of their friends' activity across the site. Facebook, in a statement, said it's "constantly testing new ways to make the site more efficient for people.

But reactions across the social Web ranged from "I feel like I'll go blind from reading its updates" to "What kind of bionic carrot-flavored crack rock are the Facebook developers smoking to make the font this small?" There were even accusations of ageism, considering that the over-55 demographic is one of the fastest-growing on Facebook and that older eyes could have trouble reading smaller print.

Wait a minute, if your eyes are hurting from the text on Facebook's home page, they were probably already subject to eye strain--the term for the discomfort, dryness, redness, and other unpleasant symptoms that can result from focusing on a computer screen or other object for too long. Eye care professionals say the smaller font size is unlikely to affect users' vision or eye health any more than its larger-type brethren. Eye strain, too, is temporary and very preventable.

"Making the font smaller doesn't necessarily increase eye strain for most people, especially with newer monitors that have better contrast," said Dr. Jody May, an ophthalmologist at the York, Penn.-based May Eye Care. "The fonts are much better than they used to be, and refresh rates on the LCD monitors are now adequate on anything you can buy."

And the activity that causes eye strain--looking at something like a computer screen for a long time without taking time to give your eyes a rest--will happen whether the font on the screen is big or small. "If you concentrate and spend a long time looking at something like a Facebook page, whether the font is big or little, you can run into the same symptoms," explained Dr. Richard Bensinger, a clinical correspondent for the American Academy of Ophthalmology. "When you're trying to focus, you're blinking a lot less.” If you look at somebody, and you just talk with them casually, they're blinking about 16 blinks a minute, and if they concentrate looking at a computer or reading, the blink rate drops to 5 or 6 times a minute. And then the eyes dry out."

As for the critics accusing Facebook of ageism by putting a smaller font onscreen, May said that, yes, older computer users are going to experience worse eye strain than younger ones. This is due more to the fact that it's significantly harder for their eyes to focus.

"The biggest problem comes when people start to develop presbyopia, that is, the inability to focus to read," May explained. "Once you've passed age 50, and you're looking at smaller text on a monitor, you're going to have eye strain. The way around it is to wear reading glasses for that distance, or get a larger monitor where the font is bigger just because the monitor's bigger." Real trouble reading small print might also be an indication that corrective eyewear is needed.

The only advice I can give is to consciously avoid behaviors that will cause and prolong eye strain. Or, just press Ctrl and +. It’s just that simple.
